Fleur & Bee have formulated a range of skincare products, all of which stand by their company value of producing ethically, sustainably-made products that are affordable for all. The skincare range is made from carefully selected botanical blends of the best that science and nature have to offer. Each product contains up to 32 nourishing ingredients, all of which are vegan and cruelty-free.

To understand the effectiveness of three skincare products, Fleur & Bee decided to run a clinical trial with Citruslabs.

The products

The products tested in this trial include:

  • Youth Fairy - a moisturizer that combines retinol with a host of other active ingredients to nourish, brighten, and support the skin

  • Eyes Eyes Baby - for puffiness, fine lines and dark circles

  • One Lip Wonder - designed to improve lip texture, nourish the lips and protect against dryness

Study design

This was a remotely conducted (virtual), consumer perception study. At baseline, subjects completed a study questionnaire covering skin quality, lip quality, and perception of skin appearance around the eyes, face, and neck.


A 12-week intervention period began, requiring participants to apply the Eyes Eyes Baby and One Lip Wonder products for 4 weeks and the Youth Fairy product for 12 weeks.


For Eyes Eyes Baby eye cream, participants were instructed to apply the product to clean skin, both in the morning and at night. For One Lip Wonder, participants were instructed to apply a thin layer to the lips daily.


The Youth Fairy product had slightly different application instructions. Participants were instructed to apply the moisturizer to their face and neck every other night until their skin adjusted. After the adjustment period, participants were asked to apply it to their skin every night. Participants were also instructed to avoid making contact with their eyes and to wear sun protection from SPF if using the product during the daytime.


Questionnaires covering all of the products were completed after the first use of all of the products on day one. Participants then answered questions specific to Eyes Eyes Baby and One Lip wonder at week two and week four. Participants answered questions specific to Youth Fairy at week six and week 12.

The participants

The study consisted of 31 women between the ages of 28 and 55 who experienced early-stage wrinkles that were not treated by topical, oral prescription drugs or medication, or over-the-counter products. Participants were also included in the trials if they experienced hyperpigmentation, dark spots, dark circles around eyes, crow's feet around eyes, or dry cracked lips. Women were excluded if they experienced strong bouts of hormonal acne, used skincare products that contain Vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide or AHAs, or were not able to consistently get seven or more hours of sleep.


Fleur & Bee products significantly improve self-reported scores of skin, lip and eye health

Consumers overwhelmingly responded that the skincare products improved perception of all 31 evaluated questions from face and neck, lip, and eye skin health

Results: Youth Fairy skin cream significantly improved subjects' self-reported scores of skin health including hyperpigmentation, blemishes, fine lines, and wrinkles on the face and neck region during the 12-week test period. Improvement of hyperpigmentation continued to significantly improve from week 6 to week 12. Likewise, all questions evaluating eye and lip health after 4 weeks of Eyes Eyes Baby and Wonder Lips products, respectively, showed significant improvement during the test period.

Subjects were evaluated at the end of the study period on how likely they would be to recommend the tested Fleur & Bee products to a friend. At week 12, 90% of subjects agreed that they would recommend this skincare supplement to friends. Similarly, 90% and 84% of subjects agreed that they would recommend Eyes Eyes Baby and One Lip Wonder respectively, at week four.


This study provides evidence of the effectiveness of Fleur & Bee's skincare products in significantly improving skin health

The purpose of this consumer perception study was to review perceptions of three different skincare products, targeting the skin around the eyes (Eyes Eyes Baby), the lips (One Lip Wonder), and facial skin (Youth Fairy). The primary goal of this study was to examine the efficacy of the three products to improve perceived eye/skin/lip health. This was accomplished through questionnaires evaluating subjects’ perceptions of their skin and lip characteristics. 

At the end of the 4 week trial:

94% said their lips felt immediately protected against dryness after using One Lip Wonder

94% of participants said their eye area looks healthier after using Eyes Eyes Baby

At the end of the 12 week trial:

97% of participants said their skin feels more nourished after using Youth Fairy

94% said their skin feels instantly moisturized after using Youth Fairy

94% of participants noticed a visible improvement in the eye area after using Eyes Eyes Baby

90% would recommend Youth Fairy to a friend


All products significantly improved a range of self-reported scores for face and neck, lip and eye skin health, providing an indication that the tested products are effective at improving skin health.
