Meet Dr. Mikita Arora, Physician Partner at Citruslabs

Dr. Mikita Arora joins Citruslabs

We’re thrilled to announce a new addition to our team: Dr. Arora, an accomplished physician. Dr. Arora’s expertise will be invaluable in boosting our research team's capabilities.

Her background enhances our ability to recruit and onboard highly qualified study participants, which will not only enrich our research but also strengthen the bridge between your CPG brand and the results you need to make marketing claims

We sat down with Dr. Arora to ask her some fun and thought-provoking questions so you can learn more about the person behind the professional title.

What inspired you to pursue a career as a physician, and how did your journey lead you to Citruslabs?

A major goal I have held in my life has been improving the lot of people around me. I have always wanted to be a physician since I was in elementary school just for this reason. I believe every individual has a chance to make a positive difference and contribute to other people’s lives. Being a physician was a goal for me to achieve this and help people reach their best selves, in health and life overall. I strive to empower others to believe in themselves and their dreams as well.

Before residency, I was involved in research at the University of Alabama that focused on kidney stones and necrotizing enterocolitis. During residency, my project focused on resident wellness and the interventions to prevent burnout during COVID. I was excited when I saw Citruslabs hiring on research as it would give me a chance to be involved in the cutting edge of medicine. I am thrilled to be part of the team.

What’s one thing you wish wellness brands knew about clinical trials?

Clinical trials can be a lengthy process, and so many people contribute to their success. It starts with an idea. The curiosity and passions of individuals become the catalysts. The time, effort, and dedication in making an advance in science is truly amazing.

In your opinion, what's the most exciting trend or development in the field of clinical trials right now, and why?

The development of the COVID-19 vaccine in such a short period and collecting data from different countries showed the resolve of the human spirit. In the future, artificial intelligence will play a role in furthering research to improve the lives of many people. Combined, the future looks bright, and I am excited to be a part of what research can bring.

Why are you excited to work in research?

Research has been a passion of mine since I got my first glimpse of it following medical school. I am so excited to get involved with Citruslabs and have a chance to work in the field. I enjoy the innovation and creativity that research permits. The ideas we pursue today will be the stepping stones for the technology and treatments of the future.

Outside of your professional life, what are some hobbies or interests that you're passionate about?

One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my family. I also enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes. Most days, you can find me at the Barre.

Please join us in giving Dr. Arora a warm welcome to the team. We’re looking forward to the innovation and optimization she’ll bring to your study.
