Clinical Trial Feature: Embody Supplements

This week, our focus is highlighting some of the wonderful brands we’ve had the chance to work with on clinical trials. Clinical research can be a great opportunity for consumer brands to create science-backed health claims about their products and bolster their marketing strategy. Today we’ll showcase one supplement brand we had the pleasure of working with: Embody, the creators of a retinol gummy designed to address skincare concerns from within.

The Brand

Embody, founded by Jennifer Chung on the idea of “beauty from within,” is a supplement brand that aims to take the stress out of dietary approaches to skincare.

We worked with them on testing their retinol gummy for its effectiveness against adult acne and early signs of skin aging, which retinol has been shown to address. The product offers a non-topical solution that targets these and additional skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation in men and women.

The Study

We helped Embody run an 8-week study that involved 33 participants with early signs of aging or adult acne. Everyone involved in the study took the gummy twice a day for the full 8 weeks while we monitored their skin’s progress through surveys and headshot photos at baseline, 4 weeks, and study completion.

The Results

Embody’s clinical trial with us collected highly positive results, including significant improvements in skin texture, discoloration and dark spots, fine lines, wrinkles, and blemishes. Their results indicate the safety and tolerability of the retinol gummy, as well as its long-term benefits to the appearance of the skin. The majority of participants reported healthier-looking and less dull skin.
